The tour

Let yourself be guided, step by step

No map to unfold, no compass. You pick a tour and the app leads you from stop to stop — eyes up, not on the screen.

Three ways to experience it. In discovery mode, a single thread unwinds the visit point by point: all you have to do is walk. In free mode, you head for whichever points draw you in, in any order. In adventure mode, the visit is played as a team, challenge after challenge.

A narrow street, a façade, a loosened stone: at every stop, what is in front of you starts to make sense.

Reconstruction of the Gallo-Roman theatre of Les Bouchauds, tiers and stage restored whole in the landscape.
Les Bouchauds (Charente) — the Gallo-Roman theatre
Reconstruction of medieval Montluçon seen from above: tiled roofs, ramparts and castle.
Montluçon (Allier) — the medieval town
Reconstruction of a gallery in the Fournel silver mine: a miner pushes a wagon by lamplight.
L’Argentière-La Bessée (Hautes-Alpes) — the silver mine in the 19th century

Time

Travel through time, right where you stand

Where a single wall still stands, you see the whole castle. Where a road now runs, you watch a mime play in the Gallo-Roman theatre.

Our reconstructions give vanished places back their volume, their colours and their din.

Two visitors watch a reconstruction through Legendr virtual reality glasses, on Honfleur harbour.

Do you need glasses?

No. Everything works on your phone.

A selection of tours also offers an immersive experience with virtual reality glasses. They are on sale at tourist office desks and from partner shops.

Play

History is played as much as it is heard

Could you name the dishes of a medieval meal? Or the parts of a half-timbered house?

Some tours set you challenges: quizzes, riddles, treasure hunts, small games that make you look at the place instead of reading a panel.

It is what keeps children going to the end. And what makes adults start over.

Closed places

Push open the doors that stay shut

An enclosed monastery, a crypt, underground quarries, the top of a bell tower. Some places never open to the public: we went there for you, in 360° photography and video.

Every tour is built with local guides, historians and heritage interpreters. The point is not to tell you everything, but to give you what you need to look differently — and to let you raise your eyes.
